The 1960's marked many turning points in history. For example the first man landed on the moon, thousands of soldiers died in Vietnam, young people became peace seeking "hippies" and there was a massive change in the fashion.
Today I am going to let you in on a 'not so secret' secret. You are all probably wondering about what the latest fashion trends are for summer 2014 well guess what? I KNOW!! And the whole inspiration for the 2014 summer trends comes from the 60's (yes please, take me back!). New trends have to come from somewhere and they mostly come from the past.
Some of you will think 'oh no not the 60's!' But let's face it, it's going to be the new trend and you will be wearing it, I will be wearing it, everyone will be wearing it whether it has the most subtle sixties style in it or the most outrageous sixties style.
But no need to worry because the summer fashion are just INSPIRED by the sixties which means that we won't be wearing old outfits from the sixties, no no it means the best and greatest designers have taken some of the sixties style and modernized it.
